Prolog
Aiko & Kenichi are classmates at Doko-Nimo High School. Kenichi is a new transfer student at that school. Aiko Hinata our heroine has one thing she likes that you won't expect from a beautiful girl like her, she loves boxing. She practices everyday at a local gym at town & dreams of becoming the JWBA (Japan Women's Boxing Association) champion, but in order to reach her dreams she needs a good trainer to guide her, until one day while going to the gym to practice, she was suprised because all the boxers working out were all near the ring watching a sparring match. When she approached to look, she was suprised to because it was her classmate Kenichi and was more suprised because he was exceptionally good. Grabbing the opportunity, after the workout Aiko begged Kenichi to train her, but Kenichi refused & told her to go home. Aiko was saddened by his decision & went home. But that didn't stop her, she worked out harder, trained harder with Mylene's help. Mylene Miyamura is Aiko's classmate & best friend and thinks Aiko is crazy but still supports her & goes to the gym with her when they don't have that much that homework. Finally again Aiko confronted Kenichi to train her, Kenichi was somehow confused whether to accept her, instead Kenichi made a deal with Aiko, he said that he would train her, but she must first win her first debut match without his help. Aiko agreed, so Kenichi entered her in the pro test. Aiko passed for class- B.
From there on Aiko trained extra hard because her first match at Korakuen Hall is scheduled next week! Time isn't in there side & tension was building up because Aiko really hasn't fought a real match yet except when sparring in the gym with Hideaki. Hideaki Kazama is Aiko best guy friend, they go way back since grade school. Hideaki was the nerdy & girly type & sometimes when sparring with Aiko, he ends up running around the ring instead of fighting with Aiko. While all this was happening Kenichi was watching from a distance. The look on his eyes was deep & unknown whether she wants Aiko to win or loose. Training, training, training was all Aiko did after school, so tired in the process she sleeps at school, sometimes ending up being scolded for being a sleepyhead. The day before the fight, Aiko, Mylene & Hideaki were walking home. It was late afternoon after school. Mylene & Hideaki told Aiko if she was sure of what she was doing. Aiko told them it was what she always wanted, not for the fame but to reach her dreams to become champion. Mylene's eyes started to water with tears & told Aiko that she doesn't want her to get hurt or beaten up & that she withdraw from the match, Hideaki agreed too & told Aiko that he doesn't want her to be injured. Aiko's eyes started to water as well. She hugged them & thanked them for their concern from her. but she told them that we have worked hard for this & that this is something she must do. There was crying & tears for awhile. Then Mylene said " If your going to fight then I'm going to be on your side all the way to help you." Hideaki couldn't agree more & told Aiko that " Will be your best cornermen." While all this was happening, Kenichi was watching & listening from a distance again & somehow sighed & smiled.
Later that evening Kenichi & Aiko bumped at each other in the park. Kenichi told Aiko that he was outside for a walk. Aiko told Kenichi that she was running errands for her sick mother in the grocery. Kenichi accompanied Aiko to buy & walked her home. While walking Aiko told Kenichi that he looked like her idol fighter & told him that somehow he mysteriously disappeared in the in the boxing scene. Kenichi told Aiko that he might just have looked like him. Then there was silence. Kenichi told Aiko "Are you sure you want to do this?" Aiko answered in a smiling face & determined spirit. She said " This is my dream & I can do it!" Kenichi asked her another question, "What if you loose?" She was silent & answered "I can't..." When they arrived at Aiko's place, Kenichi saw what kind of girl really Aiko was. She was very kind hearted & tending to her sick mother. Kenichi helped Aiko finish her chores & as he was about to leave, Aiko told Kenichi she couldn't loose because she won't be able to able to be trained by him. Kenichi told Aiko that it was getting late & that she must rest up for the fight tomorrow. Aiko looked & smiled as he was walking away & at the glimpse of the moment Kenichi looked back & somehow their eyes locked at each other for a second & an unusual shyness occurred from the two. Kenichi smiled & told Aiko "Good luck!" In this scene, Aiko's heart went pity-pat.
